Description Molecular sieve 13X, Sphere, 3.0-5.0 mm
Molecular sieve 13X, 13X zeolite, 13X PSA molecular.
The 13X molecular sieve has the highest theoretical capacity among conventional adsorbents and very good mass transfer rates. It can remove impurities that are too large to fit in a type a crystal, and is commonly used to separate nitrogen from oxygen.
The 13x molecular sieve is the sodium form of an X-type crystal and has a much larger pore opening than that of Type A crystals. It will adsorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 9 Angstroms (0.9 Nm) and exclude larger molecules.

Na2O Al2O3 2.45 SiO2 6.0 H2 SiO2: Al2O3 ≈2.6-3.0
Application: removal of CO2 and moisture from Air (pre-purification of air) and other gases, separation of enriched oxygen from Air, removal of mercaptans and hydrogen sulfide from natural gas, removal of mercaptans and hydropogen sulfide from hydrocarbon liquid streams (liquefied petroleum gas, butane, propane, etc.), catalyst protection, removal of oxygenates from hydrocarbons (olefin streams), removal of N-Chain compositions from aromatic compounds, production of volumetric oxygen in PSA installations, production of medical oxygen in small oxygen hubs.
The type 13X molecular sieve can be regenerated either by heating in the case of differential thermal processes, or by reducing the pressure in the case of differential pressure processes.
A temperature of 250-300°C is required to remove moisture from the 13X molecular sieve. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can produce moisture dew points below -100°C or mercaptan or CO2 levels below 2 ppmv.
The outlet concentrations in the differential pressure process will depend on the gas present and the process conditions.
Dimensions: 13X-zeolites are available in the form of balls measuring 1-2 mm, (mesh 10x18) 2-3 mm, (mesh 8x12), 2.5-5 mm, (mesh 4x8) and in powder form, as well as in granules of 1.6"", 3.2"".
Attention: to avoid dampness and pre-adsorption of organic substances before starting, they must be reactivated.
