Removing the mechanical seal on the pump side: remove the movable mechanical seal assembly 433.02 from the shaft. 2. Removethe thrust cover from the bearing support. 3. Squeeze the fixed O-ring 433.02 out of the thrust cap.
Remove the mechanical seal on the drive side: remove the clamping ring or safety ring. Remove the movable part of the mechanical seal 433.01 from the shaft.
Installation of a mechanical seal: For mechanical seals to work correctly, you must:
- Remove the seal friction pair protection immediately before installation.
- The shaft surface must be spotlessly clean and undamaged.
- To facilitate the installation of bellows seals, moisten the inner surface of the bellows with a weak solution (not oil).
- To prevent damage to the bellows, wrap a thin film around the end of the shaft. Place the moving part on the film and bring it to the mounting position. Then remove the film.
When using a special mechanical seal with locking on the shaft, it is necessary to tighten the hexagon socket screw on the rotating part before installing the impeller.
