Carbon graphites with Carbon impregnations
Carbon graphites with impregnations.
Depending on the method of reducing (eliminating) porosity, carbon graphites are divided into:
- Carbon graphites impregnated with synthetic resins.
- Carbon graphites impregnated with metals.
In general, impregnation reduces porosity, increases the modulus of elasticity, hardness (slightly), thermal coefficient of linear expansion and thermal conductivity.
