Mechanical seals for Hilge pumps
Mechanical seal for Hilge pump
Our professional design engineers will supply you with a mechanical shaft seal for any Hilge pump model, including:
- Hilge Hygia single-stage cantilever-monoblock pumps;
- Cantilever monoblock pumps with one-sided suction Hilge Maxana;
- Hilge SIPLA self-priming monobloc peripheral pumps.
Mechanical seal for pumps Euro Hygia I, Hilge Euro Hygia II, Hilge Contra I, Hilge Contra II, Hilge Contra Adapta, Hilge Contra Adapta Super, Hilge Contra Adapta-Bloc, Hilge Contra Adapta-Bloc, Super Hilge Hygiana Bloc, Hilge Hygiana, Durietta, Bloc Super, Hilge Higya-Kholge Sipla, Hilge Maxa/Maxana, Hilge Novalobe.
The design of the mechanical seal consists mainly of two parts: a movable part and a fixed part. The fixed part is usually a ring that is fixed in the pump housing. The movable part is mounted on the shaft and is pressed against the fixed part by means of a spring. Mechanical sealing is achieved using secondary seals (bellows, rubber rings) and a friction pair. When choosing a mechanical seal, it is important to choose the material of the secondary seals and friction pairs.
Hilge Mechanical Shaft Seal Materials
rubber material:
- NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber), temperature resistance -20 to +120C;
- EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber), temperature resistance -30 to +170C;
- Viton (fluoroelastomer), temperature resistance -30 to +185C;
- PTFE (fluoroplast), temperature resistance -260 to +260C.
Friction pairs
- SUS - metal (stainless steel);
- CAR - graphite;
- CER - ceramics;
- SIC - silicon carbide;
- TC - tungsten carbide;
It is visually difficult to understand how these materials differ from each other (except for PTFE), so it is easier to choose a material based on the pumped medium and its temperature. Contact us, we will help you determine the material and choose the right mechanical seal for your Hilge pump.
