Mechanical seals for KSB pumps
Mechanical seal for KSB pump
The design of the mechanical seal consists mainly of two parts: a movable part and a fixed part. The fixed part is usually a ring that is fixed in the pump housing. The movable part is mounted on the shaft and is pressed against the fixed part by means of a spring. Mechanical sealing is achieved using secondary seals (bellows, rubber rings) and a friction pair. When choosing a mechanical seal, it is important to choose the material of the secondary seals and friction pairs.
Materials for mechanical shaft seals KSB
rubber material:
- NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber), temperature resistance -20 to +120C
- EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber), temperature resistance -30 to +170C
- Viton (fluoroelastomer), temperature resistance -30 to +185C
- PTFE (fluoroplast), temperature resistance -260 to +260C
Friction pairs
- SUS - metal (stainless steel)
- CAR - graphite
- CER - ceramics
- SIC - silicon carbide
- TC - tungsten carbide
It is visually difficult to understand how these materials differ from each other (except for PTFE), so it is easier to choose a material based on the pumped medium and its temperature. Contact us, we will help you determine the material and choose the right mechanical seal for your KSB pump.
Deliveries of analogues of mechanical seals for KSB pumps.
For each pump, the mechanical seal is one of the main components. For optimal performance of your KSB pumping equipment, we offer wear-resistant mechanical seals of our own production for various types of pumps.
