Cantilever pumps are a type of centrifugal pump that is characterized by the presence of a one-way liquid supply to the impeller. The wheel itself is located here at the end of the shaft, which is located away from the drive. A typical design of a cantilever pump is a horizontal frame that has a support on the body and on the rack. The common frame houses the pump itself, which is connected to the electric motor by means of a tight coupling.

Operating principle of the cantilever pump

Before starting the device, it must be filled with water or other liquid. Water after starting will flow out of the pump into the pressure pipe by scrolling the wheel, which will use atmospheric pressure to pump a new water supply.

The impeller in the cantilever pump is presented in the form of a special disk with fins. The engine turns this wheel strongly and often, and, accordingly, the water that is placed inside the housing. Water does not have sufficient grafting, so it is pushed out in the right direction by centrifugal force. A nuance is the fact that the higher the water temperature, the lower the strength and efficiency of such a pump.
